REFLECTIONS 

We all have wanted someone to see us for who we are not what they think and jump into conclusions of who or what we are.

Many of our life's pains  heartaches and disappointments stem from a place where someone failed to see our hearts but worked on their assumptions.

So ,because as humans we are limited in knowledge but have wisdom through experience,Let us learn to take time before we conclude with anything concerning anybody.

Learn to put yourself in someone's shoes and for a moment STOP being so right and a know it all THEN open your eyes and see .

LIFE BASICS

I am a firm believer in Gods love ,how deep is it? here are a few verses .

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

 

He sent His Word ,which is Him ,to be a purchase for our Sin

 

Romans 8:37-39 - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 2:4-5 - But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved ...

 

His Love is rich and powerful

 

Romans 5:8 - but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

 

Died for You and Me whilst we were not worth it, just to make us worth it

 

Zephaniah 3:17 - The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

 

His Love is patient but eager to be with us reunited

 

1 Peter 5:6-7 - Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

 

His Love already did it all for us ...The completeness of the plan is yet to be revealed

 

Psalm 86:15 - But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

 

It takes a lot for Him to be angry ,...A LOT...His love is that patient

HE SAID AND I DID

Today is one of the most gratifying days ,I pulled through being a MC our church planting in Sheffield,

Why is it such a big deal for me?

Through the yrs I have managed to convince myself and also to be convinced that I "Don't have it"...and so Id get stuck anytime I had to talk before people in a church setting ..I could sing perfectly fine ...but preaching ..talking..exhort was a high standard I had set for myself.

I was sure I would make sense and my confidence would follow suit, so I did it.

I am sat in my bed writing this and imagining a day I can fully preach a Word from the Lord with clarity and put it across in a way that it helps one person if not the whole congregation.

 

I have always longed to be a teacher of the Word ,it is my desire to do so ,I have realised that the desire carries a lot of lessons to learn .I have always thought Id teach my understanding of Christ ,He has always  had a way of magnifying His Word to me and I see what most people don't seem to see ( or so I think)

 

One day I say ,One day .

HIS MERCY,HIS LOVE

1Cori 13 vs1-13

Everymorning His Mercies are new,it is an opportunity to learn a new thing or new things,His mercies are new becuase He Loves us, and so because he Loves us
  we can only learn if we have Love .whether it is love for the new lessons or its love for one another ,the standard is LOVE

WE MUST ALWAYS REMEMBER to approach all things with Love ,which is the greatest gift AND NUMBER ONE LAW, as it goes both ways,...  as you give love you recieve Love it doesn't have to be from the person you give the Love to that you should recieve the Love from....not everyone you love or administer love to will do the same back..but because there is one that watches all that happens underneath the sun and moon , your day of reward will come

Just Continue to behold all things you see  with Love ,..let no assumptions enter your heart ,see it all ANEW.

THE TRUTH ABOUT JONAH
(Is it also the truth about us as God's house?)

Jonah 1 vs 1-3 , chapter 4

We have all heard that Jonah was running away from ministry and he took a boat at Joppa on his way to Tarshish in a bid to run from "God's presence"

Well fast track to Chapter 3 we read that Jonah eventually obeyed after a "HUGE"amount of convincing (chapter 2)..and his obedience led to the Ninevehites repenting and God forgiving them.

THE DOCUMENTED REASON WHY JONAH RAN AWAY
(chapter 4)...he didnt want the Ninevehites saved ,he ran because he knew the power of God functioned in and through him *effectively*! and he understood that when he preached to the nineveh cannibals they would surely change because of God's Word in him ,Jonah knew that his words had power...
And so when it all came to pass that nineveh was saved from destruction ,Jonah was furious ...he point blank said to God ..[Like really???.. So you are really going to extend your grace and mercy to these undeserving beings??.. he asked God to kill him since He had decided to be merciful to a wicked nation] (paraphased)

NOW , Did you know?
*Many Christians have Jonahs attitude?*,
So Jonah in his anger camped outside the city of Nineveh ( with an expectation and a hope that Nineveh would slip up and Gods swift punishment would descend on them) . all this was in God's eyes so God caused a plant to grow overnight to give him shade by day and shelter by night and Jonah Loved the plant , but immediately God sent a worm to destroy the plant and Jonah was exposed to the elements and he missed the plant ,So again he wished to die..God asked him , *how is it you can want to die over a plant that sprouts now and withers the same moment but you dont want me to save 120 000 unbeknowning souls from perishing???*

*Many christians are like Jonah* ,they know their words can bless and bring life and change but they withold and wont bless.*THEY RUN AWAY FROM BLESSING THOSE THAT THEY FEEL DESERVE GODS WRATH*   ,and in the likelihood that they bless they have an expectation that you will go nowhere with the blessing and so they keep watch to see how long you can stay in the 'right path'..some even ask God ...how can you bless that person!!!? *(hence our fate is always better in the hands of God than man that doesnt see the heart)*..some can not even stand the sight of Gods mercy and grace being your portion.

To Jonah a plant that grew overnight was of more importance to him to the point he wished for death but he would have been happier living his life if 120 000 souls had been destroyed. What is more important to you?? .. ARE YOU QUICK TO JUDGE ?

Do you pray sincerely for those that are in the wrong? Or you camt wait to see God descend on them?

*PRAYER*
Father help me have a heart for souls and not a heart that habours unforgiveness and judgmental thoughts
Help me to bless with the power that you have given me and not to pick and choose whom you should bless but just to be obedient to your Word.
